If you like shopping at Walmart and enjoy streaming shows and movies then you’re in luck because Walmart+ includes a Paramount+ subscription at no additional cost.
Let’s examine how The Platinum Card® from American Express cardholders can get Paramount+ for free.
Walmart+ membership includes Paramount+
Walmart+ members get a Paramount+ Essential streaming service subscription included with their membership. This is the basic plan from Paramount+ and does mention that it includes “limited ads.” This new benefit was announced last month but is now live.
Paramount+ provides access to TV shows, movies, NFL games, soccer games from the U.S. and Europe, and live news around the clock with CBS. The Essential plan costs $4.99 per month but is included for free in a Walmart+ subscription.
You can activate your included Paramount+ membership by navigating to your Walmart+ account page and clicking the “How streaming works” button. You’ll then be redirected to the Paramount+ benefit page.
From here, click “Get Paramount+,” and you will be sent to the Paramount+ website to create an account.
You can choose to upgrade your Paramount+ Essential plan to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME for an additional $6.49 a month or $64.99 a year as part of your Walmart+ membership.

How to get a Walmart+ membership for free
A Walmart+ membership offers various benefits, including free shipping on orders over $35, free grocery delivery and a 10 cents per gallon discount at Exxon, Mobil, Walmart and Murphy gas stations. This membership typically costs $12.95 per month or $98 per year.

However, those with the Amex Platinum can get a $155 Walmart+ membership credit each year, which covers the monthly subscription fee (subject to auto-renewal). First, enroll for this benefit within your cardmember benefits on the American Express website. Then, use your Platinum Card to pay for your monthly membership and receive a statement credit to reimburse this charge. Plus Up benefits are not eligible.

Bottom line
I use my Walmart+ monthly membership for grocery delivery and discounted gas. Now, though, thanks to this added membership benefit, I can also enjoy streaming with a Paramount+ Essential subscription at no added cost.
